I think it's time to start throwing down the gauntlet. I've still got a ways to go in my writing journey I'm sure, but sometimes the only way to learn is to enter the arena.
Gloradel is on its third draft and only has 5 chapters left in its edit. The full book is written. I have two other books written as well that are in need of edits. It's time. Or maybe it's not and I'll learn a harsh lesson.
Either way, I'll learn and keep moving forward while submitting. I don't want to rush the submission process, but I worry that if I don't take action soon, I'm letting more time than necessary pass me by. I also feel like I've got a nice, timely one sentence byline for Gloradel that I don't want to dilute as time passes.
Ultimately, I don't know what the correct course of action is. And I don't think there is one that has any sort of guarantee when it comes to the arts, writing, or journeys of self-improvement. All I can do is to keep moving forward, expose myself to new areas of this writing journey, and learn. Anything in addition to that is a bonus.
Also, I've been playing Star Wars Jedi Survivor. It's a lot of fun and it's great to be enjoying a Star Wars video game. Usually, I also stay plugged in to the online discussion comments about shows, stories, and games I watch or play, but after getting caught up with spoilers and other people's opinions during Mando Season 3, I've taken an active stance to avoid all spoilers and online discussion for Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
And I've got to admit, it's resulted in a pretty nice experience of me enjoying the game. I do miss hearing the opinions of others, but it's also nice to not let overtly negative opinions shape my enjoyment of things. I might do a blog post on this experience in the future as well, because it's been interesting to see how much I've enjoyed playing this game while more actively curating what I'm exposed to online and forming my own opinions.
Anyways, that's all I got for this post, and I hope you all have a great day!
Sincerely,
Joshua Acocella
